Who the Society of Stress Managers are

The Society of Stress Managers exists to provide a professional association for people who are qualified to nationally accredited standards in the skills of stress management. We have a Code of Conduct, Ethics and Practice, which all members adhere to. All our members are fully insured for the therapies they use, and the techniques and processes they adopt.

The stress levels of each of our practitioners are regularly checked to ensure that we can be fully effective in helping our clients. We also work with peer group supervision to maintain our very high standard of care.

The Society of Stress Managers is a member of UKCHO - the United Kingdom Confederation of Hypnotherapy Organisations, and has worked with UKCHO to establish an online Public Register - The National Register of Hypnotherapists. The Register has now been replaced by the new voluntary self-regulation body the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) Registration, a goal towards which UKCHO has been working for many years. The Society of Stress Managers is a verifying Professional Association for the new CNHC.

We are organised into regional groups and we encourage all our members to be active within their own region, with quarterly meetings where ideas can be exchanged.

We will be glad to answer any questions you may have about stress management, or to give you further information on any of the topics you may read about on this site.To contact us you can look for a specific member close to you using our database, or you can email support for any information you may require.
